Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation Announces "10,000 Riels for Children" Campaign

PHNOM PENH: To celebrate International Children's Day on June 1, Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation has organized a 30-day "10,000 Riels for Children" campaign for Cambodian children  from June 1-30, 2023.

According to the Kantha Bopha Foundation of Cambodia, “10,000 Riels for Children” is an annual campaign designed to boost small and large donations from local and international philanthropists, organizations and the public for children's healthcare in Cambodia in recognition of International Children's Day on June 1. The campaign was launched in June 2022 with strong support from the public and received donations of more than $300,000 USD.

In 2023, the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation is running the “10,000 Riels for Children” campaign again, with the hope that philanthropists will be even more united in the spirit of “Khmer helping Khmer” to bring smiles to children, who are Cambodia's bright future.

The proceeds collected go toward maintaining the sustainability of the operations at the five Kantha Bopha Hospitals across Cambodia.

Kantha Bopha Children's Hospital was established in 1992 and has treated millions of children. It spends an average of $40 million USD per year to carry out humanitarian relief operations in Cambodia that are free, high-quality and non-discriminatory.

The Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation calls on all ministries, institutions, private companies and philanthropists, especially national and international media, to join the "10,000 Riels for Children" campaign by actively donating, emphasizing “Your donation is very valuable to save the lives of children in Cambodia."
